Privacy Policy

CompareTLD (comparetld.com) is an informational website about domain extensions. You can read it without creating an account, and we do not ask you for personal information. This page explains what little data is processed when you visit.

No accounts, forms or tracking cookies

The site has no user accounts, newsletters, comment forms or contact forms. We do not use advertising trackers or tracking cookies, and we do not build profiles of visitors.

Analytics

We use Plausible Analytics to count visits in aggregate (pages viewed, referring sites, country, device and browser type). Plausible does not use cookies and does not collect or store personal data such as IP addresses; visitors cannot be identified or tracked across sites. See the Plausible data policy.

Server logs

Like any web server, ours automatically records technical request data: IP address, date and time, requested page, referring page and browser user agent. These logs are used only to keep the site running, diagnose errors and block abusive traffic. They are kept for a limited time and are not sold or shared for marketing.

Cloudflare

The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which provides caching and protection against attacks. Cloudflare processes your IP address and request data to do this and may set strictly necessary security cookies. See the Cloudflare Privacy Policy.

WHOIS lookups

When you use the WHOIS tool, the domain name you enter is sent to WHOIS servers to check its registration status. We do not link lookups to you personally. Please do not enter personal information into the search field.

Affiliate and external links

Some links, including those on the Coupons page and links to registrars, lead to third-party websites and may be affiliate links, which means we can earn a commission if you make a purchase. Once you leave CompareTLD, the privacy policy of the site you visit applies, and that site may use its own cookies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal data about you and to object to its processing. Because we do not collect personal data beyond short-lived server logs, in most cases there is nothing stored that identifies you.
