About .ci
For a .ci purchase, the initial term is at least one year, with annual renewal. ARTCI-accredited registrars accept domestic and foreign buyers. Offers may cover a direct name or a category such as .co.ci, .org.ci or .net.ci.
When comparing a move between providers, account for possible transfer fees as well as the destination registrar's accreditation. The Telecommunications/ICT Regulatory Authority of Côte d'Ivoire (ARTCI) operates this DNSSEC-signed namespace.

Transfers
According to the NIC.CI FAQ, a transfer between registrars requires the domain to be active and not locked or in dispute, an authorization code (AuthCode) from the current registrar, and a new registrar accredited by ARTCI; transfer fees may apply.
